Luke Corradine is an award-winning music composer known for his work in film, television and advertising, as well as co-founder of electro-acoustic band Roebeck. He is the co-founder of film distribution company Fizz-e-Motion and manager of its publishing division Fizz-e-Music.
Since 2016 Luke has focused on composing for film, scoring over twenty-five titles including “Last Flight to Abuja” (winner of multiple African Movie Academy Awards), “Hard Time Bus,” and “No Panic With a Hint of Hysteria”.
In advertising Luke has collaborated with major brands such as Nokia, Lego, WWF and the BBC. In recent years, Corradine has made international headlines by composing a new score for Dovzhenko’s silent classic “Earth” for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
His work as sound designer has featured in award-winning documentary The Beatles And India distributed by Channel 4.
Through the years Luke has successfully combined musical practice with entrepreneurial and production activities — giving him a 360-degree understanding of music composition, film production and wider creative collaborations beyond the traditional role of a musician.
As founder of the acoustic-electro ensembles Phat Gecko and Roebeck, Luke’s work has featured in over forty compilations worldwide, including best-selling record of the year Now Dance 2004, Sonar Kollektiv’s Secret Love and The World’s Greatest Chillout amongst many others.
Corradine’s distinctive style blends cinematic orchestration, and acoustic guitar work often in conjunction with folk elements and electronic music. His research in African folklore crystallized in the score for the film Onye Ozi winning Best Original Soundtrack from the African Movie Academy.
Luke is also the co-founder of Madrid-based culture association UFACE and collaborates regularly as a speaker and film commentator for the Academia del Cine, Círculo de Bellas Artes and Filmoteca Española.
